Role
As the sole UI designer, I worked in a cross-functional team to redesign many UI features for Goodself. My redesign focused on simplifying for learnability iterated the designs until we reached stakeholder satisfaction.
Problem
1. Unclear constrain limits.       2. Cluttered UIs      3. Not intuitive or natural.
Research

Through user research and insight gathering, it became clear the Group Header, Onboarding screens and Questions for Courses are the three areas to focus on.
1. New Group Header

Group Header contains different functions for the user and admin/moderator. The user can access either the feed or discovery, while the admin/moderator can create challenge or resource for the users to view. The button design delineates the role of the two user groups enhancing user navigation within the app.

2. Onboarding Screens
The onboarding screens introduces the primary features of the Goodself App. The onboarding illustrates 3 user features through interactive infographics which offer easy access to essential engagement metrics for the user.

3. Courses Question
I experimented with various design options and text layouts to enhance the information hierarchy in screen designs for options #1 and #2. While option #3 focused primarily on text, the final design emphasized visuals. It presented the user with question overlay to the visual image at the top, helping users connect with and remember the question.

Reflection

1. Tailored Understanding
When I communicate design solutions to colleagues and the stakeholder, I empathize with both development and business perspectives and explain decisions with research, data, and transparency to prioritize necessary features.

2. Accessibility
All iterations, were geared towards greater accessibility. I ensure solutions are tailored for the user base with the wide age range in mind. Adhere to brand guidelines.
